George Takei was in Vancouver for a book signing and I went. Apparently his mother was a Nakamura. When I told him I was a Nakamura (a common Japanese name), he said, "We could be kissing cousins!"

It is unfortunately interesting to compare to what happened to my Japanese Canadian parents when they were kids in Canada.
The plight of Japanese Canadians during World War II is also a very sad chapter in history...............
