I’m excited to share that I’ve created the third comic in my semi-monthly comic series: February 2025! In case you missed my first two comics, you can see November 2024 and December 2024 in my previous posts.
These comics are a departure from the nature-related art I usually post here, as I enjoy spreading my Art Wings in a different direction: creating sequential comics that are about life in general (see my previous post explaining Sequential Art for more info).
Speaking of negative news (and taking positive action!), if you’re a U.S. citizen and have thought about contacting your U.S. Senators and Representative in Congress regarding current events, but aren’t sure who to contact and/or how to contact them, here’s an easy way to determine that:
I’ve certainly been contacting my Senators & Representative a lot lately! 😐

And speaking of sequential comics, here’s a timely Pearls Before Swine comic on that exact topic!
Now—on to your homework assignment for the week! 😁
🌵❄️🐛🐧 A Positive Homework Assignment 🦄🌺🦔🐉
I have a positive homework assignment for all of us (myself included!). As soon as you can, after reading this, go outside and find something in nature that’s interesting, unusual, beautiful, awe-inspiring, and/or new to you, and report back here by leaving a comment on this post (just click on the Leave a comment button below). Feel free to include the general location of your observation (city, state, region and/or country) if you wish.
I’ll participate, too—after this is posted on Thursday, I’ll find something exciting in nature to report back to all of you! 🤩
I’m looking forward to learning about the nature you’ve observed in your part of the world!

My answer to the 'Positive Homework Assignment' today is observing a solid gray cloudy sky this morning! Believe it or not, this is an unusual sight here in Tucson, AZ USA where the skies almost always have a blue portion, or are almost completely solid blue!
I strolled around our yard a few minutes ago and here are the highlights 😍: 71 Mexican Poppy flowers(!); a Costa's Hummingbird feeding on our one-and-only Lupine in bloom; one 1/8" Queen Butterfly larva; small 1/2" red fruits on a Pencil Cholla; lizards zipping along the ground; two Cactus Wrens foraging on the ground under an Ironwood tree; a Phainopepla resting on an old Agave flower stalk; and a new Agave flower stalk growing, about 5.5' tall so far.
